the garden
We started our garden in 2022 with four raised beds and a dream. Our first summer here, we experimented with growing everything we could: our strawberries were snatched by squirrels before we had a chance to taste them, but our tomato plants were prolific… until the the dry summer heat caused them all to split. Our carrots were tiny, but we ate carrot top pesto for days on end. And despite a late summer drought, we had an abundance of snap peas until our first frost in October.
We have since added more raised beds and are so excited to see what this season will bring. Our landscaping plan at The Arrival is equally focused on restoring native species and creating an edible landscape that our guests can enjoy for years to come. We invite you to try a tomato or pea right off the vine — there’s nothing quite like it!
